Ruby Gee, Summer 2019

Writer. Product Marketing. Growth Strategist.

I discovered that I loved starting new projects when I started building my first organization in 2008. To this day, nothing energizes me more than the opportunity to synthesize knowledge and bring resources together to solve problems. Correctly identifying the gaps and refining processes for greater efficiency — these are the moments that bring satisfaction in my work day.

At the start of my marketing and writing career, I considered myself an ideas person. I have a natural aptitude for drawing connections and envisioning opportunities for change. 300+ projects later, I've come to appreciate the beauty and importance of successful follow-up to great ideas. Epiphanies can birth great project proposals, but it takes a truly skilled person to grow a thought from a brainstorm session into a full-fledged campaign that impacts the lives of thousands in a community.

My experience working with international teams has taught me how to tenaciously pursue goals as a collective while respecting individual creative ambition. As a creative and a manager, I've come to understand the importance of walking into each meeting with a robust understanding of the resources and knowledge in a room, inclusive of those in your own control. I have a lot of stories to share and would love to hear from you as well. If you'd like to connect, feel free to email me at memorialaid@gmail.com.
